Quality Initiatives
As part of a comprehensive Quality Improvement and Management program, BHP seeks opportunities to develop activities aimed at improving the delivery of mental health services. BHP has chosen to focus on ADHD and Depression in conjunction with our Preventive Health activities. BHP developed a clinical practice guideline for each diagnosis aimed at providing a comprehensive assessment when a diagnosis of either ADHD or Depression is being considered.

If you would like to view the elements we have included in our guidelines, please select the appropriate button below. The developed guidelines are intended to assist the practitioner in conducting a comprehensive assessment and are not intended to dictate care. BHP expects each practitioner to attend to the individual needs of each patient.

BHP monitors its network for compliance with implementing these guidelines, provides feedback and continually evaluates the impact of the activity in improving assessment of a possible ADHD or Depression diagnosis. In particular, BHP Quality Staff complete on-site audits of patient charts to ensure that the practitioner is completing a comprehensive assessment and that a medical evaluation is done in a timely manner.
