Provider Billing and Authorization Procedure Manual
This provides our practitioners with necessary policy and procedure requirements concerning case management and billing. The insurance specific information is laid out in a grid. In particular, this information briefly outlines the processes based on the insurance for intake/referral, scheduuling appointments, case management and billing. This information is useful to both members and practitioners in understanding how to interface with BHP depending on the insurance. Please click the "GO" button below to view and/or print these helpful documents.
BHP Provider Questionnaire
BHP Requests this information from its practitioners in order to know as much as possible about each practitioner that will be helpful to servicing you, our members. This is the information that is used when you or BHP staff searches for a practitioner that will be a good match for your needs and preferences.
Standards of Care
The purpose of this document is to communicate to practitioners and members BHP's expectation concerning the standard of care practitioners will deliver to our members. This document was drafted and approved by the BHP Quality Improvement Committee that consists of practitioners such as psychiarists, social workers and psychologists.
BHP Level of Care Guidelines
These guidelines are used as a "guide" in clinical decision making. BHP is required to adopt and annually review level of care guidelines. They are based on scientific evidence and community standards. BHP understands that every individual, their situation or need is unique. We take this into account. In applying these guidelines, our qualifed staff take into account additional contributing factors such as age, medical complications, home environment, and availability of local practitioners, program or alternative services. Again, they are intended and used as a guide.
BHP Credentialing - Quality Policies
These policies outline specific credentialing and quality processes to which BHP adheres. BHP believes that these processes assist us in identifying and maintaining a network of quality practitioners and quality management practices that are in the best interest of the member.
